CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Also on Capitol Hill today, some buzz about the president's trip to Europe.
Washington producer Paul Courson joins us live from our D.C. bureau.

Good morning -- Paul.

PAUL COURSON, CNN WASHINGTON BUREAU MORNING PRODUCER: Morning, Carol, how are you?

COSTELLO: I'm great.

COURSON: I haven't -- I missed some of the meteor shower this morning because I was scraping frost off the windshield on my way in.

COSTELLO: A lot of people did. You're not alone.

COURSON: But you know the president, he's expected to be up early this morning. I got to wonder whether he's going off the South Lawn of the White House to have a look before he leaves this morning for Andrews Air Force Base.

President Bush leaves around 7:00 this morning for Andrews and then directly to Prague for the NATO summit. Most of the action takes place tomorrow and Thursday. He's accompanied by Secretary of State Powell. And Defense Secretary Rumsfeld will be coming in from Chile and then to Andrews and then to Prague for the NATO ministerial meeting at the Czech Republic.

Later today in Washington, we've got another hearing for John Lee Malvo. It's actually in Fairfax County, Virginia, a suburb of Washington. It's described as a motions hearing. We're trying to get details on that -- Carol.

COSTELLO: All right, Paul, thanks. Got to cut you off a little short because we have breaking news to tell people about.
