CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: A weekend ice storm is still having an effect on southern New England.
And for that we check in with Ralphie and Karen's morning show at Radio Station Star 93.7 in Boston.

Good morning.

RALPHIE, STAR 93.7 RADIO TALK SHOW HOST: Hey, good morning, Carol.

How are you today?

COSTELLO: Oh, I'm fine.

But how are you? Are you cold? What's the temperature now?

RALPHIE: I'm cold. It is 35 degrees in Boston this morning. There is snow and ice north of town and west of town, and frankly I hate it.

COSTELLO: It sounds pretty hateful to me, too.

Hey, are there still people without electricity?

RALPHIE: Yes, in the western part of the state and in northwestern Connecticut. They pretty much got the brunt of the storm. They got whacked pretty good. Where, I live in southern New Hampshire and we got a little bit of snow and ice, but nothing compared to about 30 miles away.

COSTELLO: I just can't imagine not having heat in these frigid times in New England.

KAREN, STAR 93.7 RADIO TALK SHOW HOST: Well, you know what, Carol? Nobody was ready for this. People, you know, tree lines were down. The electricity, the cars were crashing into the trees on the ground. It was crazy yesterday.

RALPHIE: And you've got to remember here, Carol, the first sign of 50 degree temperatures and Karen here puts the heat on already. So people have had their heat on since August.

COSTELLO: You guys should be used to this kind of weather, though.

RALPHIE: But we still hate it. COSTELLO: Well, I can see that.

Hey, let's talk about something serious. Apparently two men beat up a Pakistani store clerk in Boston.

RALPHIE: This actually happened south of town in a town called Easton. And it's just disgraceful that this kind of stuff still happens, especially in this town, because sometimes this town gets a bum rap and has to take it on the chin for not being sensitive to everybody and the way they live their lives. And it's moving forward and then stuff like this happens. It's just really ridiculous.

COSTELLO: So go into some detail for us so that our audience understands. These two men went into a 7-11 and they said some things to this Pakistani store clerk. What were they?

RALPHIE: Well, they ran their mouths. They were calling this poor guy a terrorist and you're the brother of Osama bin Laden, just a black eye in this area. It's really disgusting.

COSTELLO: Oh, and they're to appear in court today and they are charged with a hate crime for that incident.

RALPHIE: Yes, and you know what? If they did it, they should be punished, because it's just not the way people should be behaving, especially at this time, but really at any time.

COSTELLO: You're right about that.

Ralphie and Karen, thank you so much for joining us. We'll catch you again next week.
