CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: A sting operation at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport, that's the "Talk" of CNN this morning, the time we plug into local radio stations across the country for their big stories. It is Friday and that's when we check in with KDMS in Dallas. The show is "Jeff and Anna in the Morning" and they're joining us live by phone -- hello.
ANNA: Hey.

JEFF: How are you?

CHAD MYERS, CNN METEOROLOGIST: Good morning.

COSTELLO: Hey, tell us about this sting at the airport.

JEFF: Big sting. They went (UNINTELLIGIBLE) 60 people were arrested who had been hired without proper identification, they'd lied on their IDs, they had fake Social Security numbers.

COSTELLO: Oh no!

JEFF: Yes, I mean after September 11, how does this happen?

COSTELLO: Exactly. Doesn't make you feel very safe, does it?

ANNA: No, not at all. And you know they say that more arrests could be on the way. However, the people that were in charge of the investigation, Operation Tarmac as it was called, say that they don't think that any of these workers at DFW Airport had any links to terrorists.

COSTELLO: Did they say how they knew that?

JEFF: No, they don't and that's...

ANNA: Well they asked them, naturally.

(LAUGHTER)

JEFF: Hey do you guys? No, not us.

ANNA: Osama, does that ring a bell?

COSTELLO: A lot of these people were here -- were illegal immigrants, too, weren't they?

ANNA: Yes. JEFF: Yes. Yes.

COSTELLO: Yes, it took place in many airports across the country that operation, and it doesn't make you feel very comfortable about anything.

JEFF: I would imagine we'll see this story again, like you had mentioned, Carol, in other cities.

COSTELLO: Oh absolutely we will.

Hey, tell us about Thanksgiving, because I know a lot of radio stations across the United States, I mean it's the big effort to give food to the needy for Thanksgiving.

JEFF: Yes, we had a local charity here in Arlington that a woman went in the other day posing as a donor, well -- and asked for a receipt. When she went to the back of the facility there was an envelope on the table that had $3,000 in it so she lifted it.

COSTELLO: What?

ANNA: Yes.

JEFF: Yes, she took the money from this charity.

ANNA: She posed as a donor and then stole $3,000 that was all earmarked for Thanksgiving Day turkeys, food and so the Arlington charities was in a bind.

MYERS: Maybe she should be an organ donor. Yes.

JEFF: Well yes, my question -- my question was how do you dress as a donor, but that's a different issue.

(LAUGHTER)

ANNA: With a T-shirt that says donor...

JEFF: But -- so anyway, we took the opportunity yesterday, and with the help of our morning show producer Cathy (ph), we ended up with 620 turkeys and 1,200 boxes of mashed potatoes for the charity yesterday.

MYERS: Oh!

COSTELLO: Oh that's just awesome.

JEFF: Yes, it was fun.

COSTELLO: Well we applaud you guys for that. Jeff and Anna, thanks for leaving us on a happier note.

ANNA: Thank you.

JEFF: All right. Thanks, guys. TO ORDER A VIDEO OF THIS TRANSCRIPT, PLEASE CALL 800-CNN-NEWS OR USE OUR SECURE ONLINE ORDER FORM LOCATED AT www.fdch.com
