CATHERINE CALLAWAY, CNN ANCHOR: Time for our drawing criticism segment with Mike Luckovich. He's been busy over there.
RENAY SAN MIGUEL, CNN ANCHOR: He has been. He's an award winning political cartoonist, winning of the Pulitzer Prize with "The Atlanta Constitution."

And we're going to see some of his more recent cartoons later.

But we've got him actually working. This is the political cartoonist in his natural habitat, as we've talked about earlier this morning. He's actually drawing something for us this morning, and Mike, you want to...

CALLAWAY: Looks like a stump.

SAN MIGUEL: Yes. Do you want to give us a little hint of what we're talking about here?

MIKE LUCKOVICH, POLITICAL CARTOONIST, ATLANTA JOURNAL- CONSTITUTION: Yes. You know, actually, this is going to be tough, because at 8:30 I'm supposed to have this thing done. And, you know -- So maybe I'll just draw Snoopy or something.

CALLAWAY: Our viewers would be OK. You could actually get away with it.

LUCKOVICH: Actually, I think what I'm going to do is do a holiday themed cartoon, because I think that's what viewers of CNN demand. And then I think I might combine it with J. Lo and Ben Affleck. So bear with me.

CALLAWAY: That was looking a little bit like a chopping block you were drawing there.

LUCKOVICH: Right. You may be right. I don't know. You're going to have to wait and see.

CALLAWAY: Maybe he's going to turn Saddam Hussein into a turkey?

SAN MIGUEL: Something like that? Are we supposed to give you ideas on this?

LUCKOVICH: No, no. You know, I have to do this all on my own.

SAN MIGUEL: That's why you make the big bucks. CALLAWAY: It was just a suggestion, Mike. I mean, not that you're not successful at what you do.

SAN MIGUEL: There has been so much going on in pop culture, though, this week, you know, with J. Lo and Ben Affleck and, of course, Michael Jackson. I figured that you would have had something.

LUCKOVICH: You are going to see a cartoon on Michael Jackson in a little while.

SAN MIGUEL: I knew it; I knew it.

CALLAWAY: Good. We'll look forward to that. And you'll be back with us in a minute and we'll see what you've drawn.

SAN MIGUEL: All right. Thank you, Mike.
