CATHERINE CALLAWAY, CNN ANCHOR: Israel is still reeling from these attacks in Kenya. As you may remember, Matthew Chance was at the airport in Tel Aviv when passengers that were targeted got off that plane. He, of course, has some videotape that was shot inside the plane by one of the passengers there.
Matthew is joining us now with the very latest.

Matthew -- incredible video.

MATTHEW CHANCE, CNN CORRESPONDENT: It was, indeed, incredible video. A lot of relief in the airport there yesterday, contrasting with the misery on the ground in Mombasa. A lot of people got off that plane, more than 260 passengers extremely relieved that they were back in Israel and had made it out of Mombasa alive.

Let's take a look at that home video, which, as you mentioned, was taped by one of the passengers on board that Boeing 757, the aircraft. You can see the people sitting there. At this point, they had just been told what had happened to them. This was right at the end of the flight, remember, some 30 minutes before they had touched down after a six-hour flight from Mombasa to Tel Aviv.

You can see the warplanes outside, the Israeli fighter jets that arrived when the plane reached Israeli air space to escort the Boeing 757 in to land in Tel Aviv.

One of the women on board, we are told, is the girlfriend of the man who took this footage, was talking about how frightened all of the passengers were, how concerned they were about what they'd left behind. And very worried, people on board, about whether they would even land safely at that airport, knowing what they did about what had happened, there had been a missile attack there.

So, a great deal of relief amongst the passengers when they finally arrived.

CALLAWAY: And, hopefully, they were informed of why these military aircraft were flying next to them before they arrived. What did they tell you at the airport yesterday -- Matthew?

CHANCE: Well, I mean, when the plane took off and experienced this missile attack, nobody was told very much at all. In fact, nobody really knew what was going on at that point. Some of the passengers reported hearing an explosion, some felt the plane shudder. But it wasn't, as I say, until right at the end of the journey, just as they entered Israeli air space, that the captain came across the loudspeakers, the warplanes joined them on their wing, and everybody was then told exactly what the situation was.

CALLAWAY: Wow! OK, thank you very much for the latest on that, Matthew, and thanks for bringing that video to us -- Matthew Chance.
