CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: At about this time tomorrow, we could be hearing what Iraq has to say about its weapons of mass destruction program.
CNN's Frank Buckley has the view from the White House.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

FRANK BUCKLEY, CNN NATIONAL CORRESPONDENT (on camera): White House officials continue to be skeptical that Saddam Hussein will provide what they believe to be a truthful declaration on December 8, given the statements of Iraqi leaders that Iraq has no weapons of mass destruction.

But White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said that people should believe President Bush over Iraq, because Iraq has lied about this in the past.

ARI FLEISCHER, WHITE HOUSE PRESS SECRETARY: President Bush has said Iraq has weapons of mass destruction. Tony Blair has said Iraq has weapons of mass destruction. Donald Rumsfeld has said Iraq has weapons of mass destruction. Richard Butler has said they do. The United Nations has said they do. The experts have said they do. Iraq says they don't. You can choose who you want to believe.

BUCKLEY: Now Sunday, Iraq must declare its weapons programs. Iraqi officials say they will actually provide the declaration on Saturday. It may be some time before White House officials can go through it. It could be hundreds or even thousands of pages long.

I'm Frank Buckley at the White House.

Back to you.
