LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: Now to the courtroom drama that is playing out this morning in Los Angeles. Actress Winona Ryder is going to learn her punishment today for stealing more than $5,000 in merchandise from a Beverly Hills store. Now, the hearing is set to begin less than half an hour or so from now.
And our Charles Feldman is standing by now live outside the courthouse in Beverly Hills -- morning, Charles.

CHARLES FELDMAN, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Good morning, Leon, and yes, today is the day when actress Winona Ryder will have to pay the piper for the merchandise she didn't pay for when she shoplifted from a Saks Fifth Avenue here in Beverly Hills.

Now, it is not expected that she will be given any time in prison. Prosecutors are pressing instead that she get community service, psychiatric and drug counseling, and pay a penalty in excess of $20,000.

But it ultimately, of course, will be up to the judge about what to do about her. Now, this is an interesting couple of weeks, Leon, here in L.A. because a lot of stars are in court.

Now, it's typical when people come to L.A., they will buy one of these maps of movie star homes, but over the next two weeks, if you want to catch one of your favorite stars, you have a better chance looking at a map of court houses scattered around Los Angeles, and we've put together a map for you. It starts off this morning with Winona Ryder. That's here, of course, in the Beverly Hills courthouse. Then later this afternoon, if you drive over to Van Nuys, you can catch Robert Blake at a hearing there to determine whether or not there's going to be a preliminary hearing and a date.

Next week, you got Nick Nolte in Malibu for an arraignment on drunk driving charges, and the week after that, Peewee Herman's arraignment for having alleged pornographic material involving children.

So, again, if you want to catch some big stars, the best thing to do is just get yourself a map of court houses and drive around L.A. Now, Leon, you may notice that haven't mentioned anything about Michael Jackson, who has been in court. That's because Michael has been up in Santa Barbara, and so he's off the map -- Leon.

HARRIS: Well, you have to let me know how much money you make off of selling those maps, Charles.

FELDMAN: OK.

HARRIS: Good luck. We'll check back with you later on.
