DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: Singing the blues maybe. Singer Whitney Houston responds to a $100 million lawsuit filed against her by her own father. The suit alleging she owes her father's company for past management services. Among those services, negotiating the renewal of the singer's contract with Arista records. Whitney Houston's response to the lawsuit tops our celebrity court docket this morning. And joining us from Los Angeles with that story and more, Harvey Levin, executive producer of "Celebrity Justice."
Harvey, good to see you again.

HARVEY LEVIN, EXEC. PRODUCER, "CELEBRITY JUSTICE": Hi, Daryn.

KAGAN: We've got about two minutes to run through all the celebrity news. So first, Whitney Houston, not a lot of love at home from pops.

LEVIN: The opposite. Really interesting. He says he's not mad at her, but she's saying, look, he says I owe him $100 million. I love him. I'm still supporting him. I'm even giving him a weekly allowance.

And what's really interesting, Daryn, at the very top of her answer, this legal answer, she cites the fact that her father left her mother two years ago, and it seems like there's something that underlies all of this with the divorce.

KAGAN: OK, real quick, we only have time for one more topic, Monica Lewinsky, apparently not making the grade in Italy.

LEVIN: Isn't that amazing? Here you have Italian TV, where it seems it's no holds barred, but the Italian government was going to pay for an appearance on a gossip show, and the Italian people got so upset because of her claim to fame, that the Italians yanked her off the air, and do you know Italian TV, Daryn? It is pretty raunchy at times.

KAGAN: Mama Mia.

LEVIN: Absolutely, Mama mia.

KAGAN: Already, Harvey, had to keep it short today, but I know we'll have you back real soon. Thanks for being with us.
