FREDRICKA WHITFIELD, CNN ANCHOR: Well now to the holiday shopping and shipping season. Christmas is just one week away, and many of you are still scrambling to finish buying for everyone on your Christmas list. And if you've got to send those packages out, now is the time. Today is one of the busiest delivery days for UPS.
And let's get the real deal on how the shipping company handles your packages.

Our Jeff Flock joins us on this morning's "Wake-Up Call" from a UPS hub in Hodgkins, Illinois -- Jeff.

JEFF FLOCK, CNN CORRESPONDENT: That's right, Fredricka, I'm wide awake this morning. We're out here at UPS' biggest shipping facility in the world. It's actually the biggest shipping facility for anybody in the world that's outside Chicago. We're getting our cameras ready this morning for an up close and personal look behind the scenes today at all the packages.

The reason today is that this day and tomorrow are the two busiest shipping days of the year. And you know this was a short shopping season for Christmas because it was a late Thanksgiving. So you know the crunch time is now, and it ought to be pretty dramatic pictures throughout the day today at this -- at this facility out here -- Fredricka.

WHITFIELD: So I can blame the calendar for not getting my Christmas shopping done as of yet?

FLOCK: You know it's almost legitimate if it happens this year, yes, or maybe you were a bad girl. I'm not sure which.

WHITFIELD: All right. Thanks a lot, Jeff, appreciate it.
