CATHERINE CALLAWAY, CNN ANCHOR: Well, the Talk of CNN this morning turns to week 15 of the NFL.
Let's check in with Jimmy Barrett at WRVA News Radio 1140 in Richmond, Virginia.

Jimmy on the phone with us now.

Good morning.

JIMMY BARRETT, WRVA RADIO CORRESPONDENT: Good morning.

How's it going, guys?

CHAD MYERS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Hey, there he is.

BARRETT: Can I wish you a Merry Christmas or would that be politically incorrect?

MYERS: Ah, do whatever you like.

CALLAWAY: Happy holidays.

MYERS: There you go.

CALLOWAY: There you go.

BARRETT: Merry Christmas.

MYERS: All right.

Hey, you're still, you've still got that goatee on.

BARRETT: Do you like it?

MYERS: What'd you do?

BARRETT: I went on vacation and all I brought back was this goatee.

MYERS: You know, you need it filled in a little bit more.

CALLOWAY: You know, Chad and I were just talking, we didn't get to watch a lot of football, so you've got to get us up to date on what happened this week. And I know the Chiefs are still in the running.

BARRETT: Yes, I'm going to do my best here to explain the playoff situation, as well, without benefit of a calculator or any pie charts on this Monday morning. I just...

CALLOWAY: Well, hang on, we might be able to do that for you. We're pretty fast at getting those graphics on.

BARRETT: I don't think you have that kind of time. But let's talk about the San Diego-Kansas game. Chiefs stay alive in the playoff hunt, they do, with a 38 yard field goal. Michael Husted (ph), one minute and 13 seconds left. Here's the Chiefs in the -- here's a great touchdown play, by the way. Watch this pass. This one goes 90 yards for the score for the Chiefs.

MYERS: Oh.

CALLOWAY: Oh.

BARRETT: They end up beating the Chargers by two points. But, you know, I like these field goal kickers. It seems like every week we talk about them. This guy is a UVA grad and here he is, 38 yards is his first field goal of the season. He's filling in for Morton Anderson, who's injured.

MYERS: Oh, right.

BARRETT: Again, 24-22 so the Chiefs...

CALLOWAY: How many yards was that?

BARRETT: That was a 38 yarder right there.

CALLOWAY: Oh. Do you make more money the longer the kick? That's what I think it ought to be.

BARRETT: It would make sense, wouldn't it? By the way, we'll have to talk if we have -- well, let's make a second here to talk about a guy by the name of Gary Anderson. Forty-three years old on Saturday, kicks the winning field goal for the Minnesota Vikings in their upset win over the Miami Dolphins. That kind of jumbles up the playoff situation.

CALLOWAY: Right.

BARRETT: This guy's 43 years old, kicked a 53 yard field goal. Here it is.

MYERS: It was hooking, oh, what a good (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

BARRETT: It made it. This guy is two weeks away from getting a Social Security check.

CALLOWAY: Forty-three, he's young. Old for a football player, I guess, but...

BARRETT: Forty-three, 43 is pretty old.

CALLOWAY: Yes.

BARRETT: About the only thing older is the Oakland Raiders football team.

MYERS: And you.

BARRETT: All right, well, thank you.

MYERS: That's right.

BARRETT: Thank you for pointing that out.

Upset special, Cincinnati over New Orleans. It's only the second win of the season for the Cincinnati Bangles. I mean here's a team that at least is not giving up. And here's the winning touchdown, Nick Lucky (ph), a three yard T.D. run, a little over to the middle left.

CALLOWAY: Look at that.

BARRETT: That's a winner.

MYERS: That's a little helping the runner there, don't you think, from the back?

BARRETT: Hey, whatever it takes.

MYERS: My god.

CALLOWAY: Boy, that's good news for Atlanta, though.

BARRETT: Well, it's good news for Atlanta. It's also good news for the New York Giants and let me see if I can figure this out for you this morning. Here's what's going on, OK?

CALLOWAY: OK.

BARRETT: AFC East, Miami, New York Jets and New England all still alive in that division. AFC South, Tennessee has won the division. Indianapolis is still alive. AFC North, Pittsburgh leads. Cleveland is still alive by virtue of their win over Baltimore yesterday. Oakland has clinched the division in the AFC West. Denver and Kansas City are still alive, although it doesn't look very good for the Broncos. NFC East, Philadelphia has won their division. New York Giants are still alive. The South Tampa Bay has won. Atlanta and New Orleans are still alive but advantage Atlanta. In the North, Green Bay won their division quite a while ago and everybody else is done. In the West, San Francisco has won their division. Everybody else is done.

Stand by for details. It'll get even crazier. The final...

CALLOWAY: That is crazy. You were reading that. You know, did you forget we can see you.

BARRETT: Well, that's OK. I mean do you expect me to commit this to memory?

MYERS: You didn't mention the Lions. BARRETT: This is not -- ooh, the Detroit Lions -- who believed the Detroit Lions would lose their starting quarterback to an irregular heartbeat?

MYERS: Do they get to play the Bangles in the Tidy Bowl?

BARRETT: That wouldn't be a bad idea.

MYERS: Yes.

CALLOWAY: All right...

BARRETT: It's an interesting year, though, in the National Football League.

CALLOWAY: Yes, it is.

BARRETT: They want parity, they've got parity.

MYERS: Yes, they do.

CALLOWAY: All right, Jimmy, thank you.

Have a great day.

Happy holidays to you.
