CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Did you overdo it on the candy canes and chocolate Santas for Christmas? Well, no sweat. We can help you get back on the healthy track.
Our favorite dietician, Lisa Drayer, is with us live from New York.

Lisa, welcome.

LISA DRAYER, NUTRITIONIST: Good morning, Carol.

COSTELLO: So, you're going to tell us about dieting online.

DRAYER: Exactly. You know, Carol, many diet Web sites offer meal plans and shopping lists, but on Dietwatch.com, we actually give you immediate feedback on the foods that you're eating. So, we have a nutrition calculator with over 20,000 foods that tracks calories, fat, fiber and several vitamins in the form of a personalized nutrition facts label. So, you can see exactly how many calories you're consuming in your favorite Christmas foods.

COSTELLO: Oh. So, if you eat a big turkey leg, you can tell us how many calories the turkey leg has, and what we can do to exercise it off.

DRAYER: Exactly. And the turkey breast is better than the turkey leg, because it's the white meat. But it's really neat, because you get this personalized nutrition facts label. So, Carol, let's say you went overboard on your holiday meal, you know, you had a lot of potatoes au gratin, a lot of eggnog, you would see up arrows next to your calories. And this is different than those personalized labels you get in the supermarkets, where all of the percentages are based on a 2,000 calorie diet. This is based on your diet.

COSTELLO: Let's get specific.

DRAYER: Yes.

COSTELLO: I mean, I know you have some kind of mint on there, and you have a certain exercise you can do for a certain amount of time to work that off.

DRAYER: Absolutely. Yes, we have a Christmas candy counter, which tells you how many minutes of exercise you would need to do in order to burn off the calories in your favorite Christmas candy. So, for example, if you had five Andes mints, it would take you about 18 minutes of high-impact aerobics. So, it's a little bit -- in fact, three minutes per mint, not too bad.

COSTELLO: And those two candy canes thing is freaking me out, too.

DRAYER: I know, I know. Twenty-one minutes on the bike to burn off two candy canes.

COSTELLO: What's in a candy cane?

DRAYER: You know, there's a lot of sugar in candy canes, no fat, but a lot of sugar. Now, if you can jog...

COSTELLO: They're not even that good!

DRAYER: I know, I agree. I'd rather go for the chocolates. But if you do have those chocolate Doves...

COSTELLO: Yes.

DRAYER: ... it would take you about 16 minutes of jogging to burn off four milk chocolate Doves. Not too bad.

Now, if you weigh more -- this is based on a 150 pound person. If you weigh more, you burn more calories for every minute of exercise. So, you wouldn't need to stay on the treadmill for as long.

COSTELLO: OK, Dietwatch.com, right?

DRAYER: Dietwatch.com.

COSTELLO: OK, Lisa Drayer, thanks so much.

DRAYER: Thanks, Carol.
