CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: If you're sitting in a hotel room waiting for the shuttle to take you to the airport, we have news. It's time to check in with Travelocity's air traffic expert Rally Caparas who has his "Eye on the Sky."
Oh, hopefully it's nothing like it was yesterday.

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Oh, Carol. Well you've heard Chad talk a few moments ago about how things are going this morning, and it's excellent in the east today, folks. Beautiful skies. Beautiful pictures to take all throughout the region. However, there is a lot of snow still out there so be careful on the way to the airports, but you will find on-time schedules and perfect conditions for flying today. A rare event, enjoy it while it lasts. This is almost like a late spring event as we speak. It's beautiful outside.

However, there are some areas of concern. In the central U.S., St. Louis Lambert Airport will see some mist, some overcast skies, low clouds. Airline schedules are built around perfect conditions, folks. When you have a little bit of low cloud cover where the pilots can't see the airport surface from the sky from high altitudes, they have to spread themselves out a little bit more. Air traffic control takes control of things and flows them in there with extra spacing. So expect 30-minute arrival delays into St. Louis Lambert Airport.

Out west, San Francisco and Seattle. Let's go to Seattle first. Seattle Tacoma Airport will see 15 to 30 minute arrival delays because of low clouds and rain and some fog. That'll be there all day. Chad told you it's going to stick around probably through the weekend also.

And then San Francisco International, just south of them, they'll see 30 to 45 minute arrival delays all day. Low clouds, rain and the runway configuration. Airplanes are coming in from the east -- from the southeast. They're better off in that airport coming from the northwest. So when they turn it around, it reduces the arrival rate into the airport and slows things down; but overall, an excellent day to fly throughout the United States.

Carol, I'll see you on Monday morning.

COSTELLO: Oh yes. And I'm flying today so you've made me one happy woman.

CAPARAS: Hey, that's my job.

COSTELLO: Thank you, Rally, we appreciate it. CAPARAS: Sure.
