CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Well if you're sitting in a hotel room waiting to head out to the airport, timeout, it's time to check in with Travelocity's air traffic expert Rally Caparas who always has his eye on the sky. He joins us live by phone this morning.
So, Rally, where are the planes flying on time, where are the delays?

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Good morning, Carol.

Well, it looks like we're set up for one of the better flying days we've seen in quite some time. The weather is kind of letting up in the northeast, but there will be some spotty delays. Let's get right to them.

If you're headed in to or out of the Boston and New York City Metropolitan airports, you will see 30-minute departure delays as freezing temperatures take over. It'll force departure flight de- icing, at least for the first half of the day.

A little further south at Philadelphia and the D.C. Metros, you'll see 30-minute arrival and departure delays. Strong gusting winds will likely reduce the airport's arrival capacity there and that will be accompanied by departure flight de-icing for most of the day there also.

Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati-Covington in the Great Lakes region, they will see 30-minute departure delays. Subfreezing temperatures there also. Departure flight de-icing will be the problem there most of the day.

A little further west, Chicago O-Hare Airport, 30-minute arrival delays are likely throughout the day. Strong west winds force a less- than-favorable runway configuration thereby reducing the arrival rates into Chicago for all -- for the entire day.

And then finally out in the southwest, Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport will see 30-minute arrival and departure delays. They have nice weather, but it's runway construction and taxiing (ph) construction. That's going to last through February 28, so expect that same statement from me for the next month and a half.

That'll wrap it up for me today. I'll be back in a few days (ph) with you tomorrow morning with more from Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky."

Carol, back to you.

COSTELLO: Can't wait. You're a lot of help. Thank you, Rally.

So head out to the airport now, you have all the information you need.
