CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: I know you must be sitting around in your hotel room waiting to head out to the airport, and the big question on your mind I know is everything going to be running on time?
Rally Caparas is here.

JOHN VAUSE, CNN ANCHOR: He's here.

COSTELLO: Our "Eye on the Sky"...

VAUSE: He's over there.

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Hi.

COSTELLO: ... ready to help.

CAPARAS: You got it.

COSTELLO: You're like the Superman of travel.

CAPARAS: Hey, that's why I'm in the gym all the time, I want to help lift people up that are flying.

Ladies and gentlemen, today is one of the days that as an air traffic control specialist at the nation's air traffic control system command center I used to cherish. Three hundred and sixty out of 365 days a year we worked hard there and they do still. But here's what's happening today, a break for those folks in the air traffic control command center. There will still be delays, however, and here they come.

At Boston's Logan Airport this morning they will see 30-minute arrival and departure delays due to low clouds, some light snow, de- icing. Should be gone by the afternoon and evening hours for on time schedules thereafter. Good news for you in the northeast.

Down in New York, Philadelphia and the D.C. Metro airports today, you will see mostly delay free conditions, but 30-minute arrival delays will last from about 10:00 a.m. until about noon because of strong westerly winds. Doesn't bode well with those runway configurations there. Thirty-minute arrival delays until noon Eastern Time at those locations.

At Chicago O'Hare Airport, they're used to dealing with the wind and they will see more wind today. Thirty-minute arrival delays throughout the day as normal configurations will be manipulated to a less-than-favorable one. That means 30-minute arrival delays until about 9:00 this evening, not very long though.

Down in the southwest, Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport will see 15 to 30-minute arrival delays once again. And you'll hear me say that every day until February the 28th as runway construction and taxiway construction will continue. That reduces their operating runways from three down to two, hence, we will have some short-term delays.

But outside of that, the rest of the nation looks excellent. On time schedules all day long and tomorrow looks like a repeat of today.

Carol, I'll be back in the morning with more from Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky."

COSTELLO: OK, can't wait, always a big help to everyone. Thank you, Rally.
