CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: OK, it's time to venture across the country to see what people are talking about.
JOHN VAUSE, CNN ANCHOR: Yes.

COSTELLO: And of course it's Friday so we're going to check in with KDMX in Dallas. The show is "Jeff and Anna in the Morning."

Jeff and Anna, good morning.

ANNA, "JEFF AND ANNA IN THE MORNING," KDMX DALLAS: Morning.

JEFF, "JEFF AND ANNA IN THE MORNING," KDMX DALLAS: Hi there.

COSTELLO: Hey, you know we understand that five people from a reality show are from Dallas or Texas, and that's amazing.

VAUSE: It's quite a claim.

JEFF: "The Bachelorette."

COSTELLO: That's quite a claim.

VAUSE: That's quite a claim.

ANNA: You got four guys to pick from from Dallas, including a rodeo rider, Brooke (ph), and then there's like a mortgage broker. But the host of "The Bachelorette," Chris Harrison, is from Dallas too.

COSTELLO: What...

VAUSE: So you're to blame.

(LAUGHTER)

JEFF: Now you know what, some may say we're to blame, but you know I'm telling you this Reality TV is here to stay. It's cheap. It's -- you know it's easy to do and people are watching. Twenty-five million people watched "Joe Millionaire" the other night.

VAUSE: Yes, it's amazing.

COSTELLO: Yes, but don't you think it'll go the way those extreme talk shows did like the "Jerry Springers" and you know there was a whole bunch of them at one time...

ANNA: I...

COSTELLO: ... and now it's whittled down to one or two?

ANNA: I have to agree with you because I just think that there's way too much Reality TV on now.

JEFF: Yes, OK, but let me ask this question then, if we replace it, what are we going to replace it with?

COSTELLO: Oh God only knows.

JEFF: I know.

VAUSE: Now you mentioned it was -- it was...

ANNA: CNN.

VAUSE: There you go. You mentioned it was cheap, but these guys are actually getting sued. There's was one guy in -- who was on "Candid Camera" and they actually put him through the X-ray machine...

ANNA: Yes.

VAUSE: ... and he got beat up and now he's suing. I mean they've apologized to him. So there could be a lot of lawsuits out there, a bunch of lawsuits for these guys.

ANNA: Yes.

JEFF: Yes, that's true.

COSTELLO: Yes, you have to -- even with "The Bachelorette," they could sue for emotional duress.

VAUSE: And...

JEFF: Yes, but you know what man in his right mind is going to float that lawsuit out there?

(LAUGHTER)

COSTELLO: Well you never know.

VAUSE: Good point.

ANNA: That's true. That's very true.

JEFF: Oh I...

COSTELLO: If you can make a buck, why not?

VAUSE: Yes.

JEFF: I want to talk to him if he does.

(LAUGHTER) COSTELLO: Jeff and Anna, many thanks, a lot of fun this morning. We appreciate it.

JEFF: Thanks, guys.
