CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: As Chad has been telling you, it is nasty in many parts of the country today and that usually means discomfort, a wish for spring and airline delays.
We want to make it easier for you, so let's check in with Travelocity's air travel expert Rally Caparas who has his "Eye on the Sky."

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Yes, Carol, you know we basically dodged a bullet.

COSTELLO: Good.

CAPARAS: That storm that came through yesterday, folks, it blew through the East and it's already started to move off shore. And so what that means is we will see some strong gusting winds but delays are going to be very manageable today. Here's how it's going to break down for you.

If you're flying in to Boston -- in or out of Boston's Logan Airport today, you will see 30-minute delays in to and out of that airport. Departure flight de-icing. We'll see some clearing later on in the afternoon and evening hours for on-time schedules during the late evening rush. On a busy travel Friday, that's good news.

New York LaGuardia Airport, however, the strong gusting wind forces an unfavorable runway configuration there. Most of the time it'll reduce them down to a single runway operation. That means lengthy delays. Thirty to 45 minutes is kind of -- well, let's -- optimistic. If the winds do kick in and continue to blow as hard as they're expected to, it'll be more like 45 to 60-minute arrival delays in to that airport.

Cleveland and Pittsburgh and all the airports in western New York State, you can expect to see 30-minute arrival and departure delays all day long. Chad's been telling you lake effect snow. Some departure flight de-icing is going to take place there. That'll be off and on all day, as I said.

Chicago O'Hare, the Windy City, they'll see more gusting winds out of the west. It forces an unfavorable runway configuration. They've got to turn the airport around. They blast off into a direction that does not help the volume issue there and you'll see 30- minute delays there all day.

Phoenix Sky Harbor, continued runway and taxiway construction will cause you short-term, 15 to 30-minute arrival and departure delays through February the 28th.

And then on the West Coast, Seattle and San Francisco, marine layer fog, once again, rolls in around 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Thirty-minute arrival delays for most of the day -- well actually, until about noon, blows away, on-time schedules.

Not bad a day at all, Carol, for travel.

COSTELLO: I am so relieved, because you know I'm flying out. I'm kind of selfish, but no delays from Atlanta to Baltimore?

CAPARAS: None, zero, you're good to go.

COSTELLO: Love it.

Thank you -- Rally.

CAPARAS: You're welcome.

COSTELLO: As always, very helpful.
