ANDERSON COOPER, CNN ANCHOR: Good evening. I'm Anderson Cooper at the CNN center in Atlanta. We have some breaking news to report, this reported by a State Department correspondent Andrea Koppel. The State Department has began drafting the text of a possible second U.N. resolution that would authorize military action to force Iraq to disarm. The resolution would only be introduced, apparently, if the United States thinks it has the support of at least nine of 15 members of the Security Council, sources told CNN.
One source -- one State Department official told CNN, quote, "we cover all options." Again, the State Department has apparently began drafting the text of a possible second United Nations resolution that would authorize military action to force Iraq to disarm. This, of course, comes one day before Hans Blix is set to appear before the Security Council, and a summary of 60 days worth of weapons inspections will be submitted to the Security Council tomorrow morning by Hans Blix.
