JUDY WOODRUFF, CNN ANCHOR: With me now on the telephone is a spokeswoman for the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, not far away.
Karen McCall, are you -- have you been given any information about victims?

KAREN MCCALL, N.C. JAYCEE BURN CENTER: Yes. Our helicopters left about an hour or so ago for the plant, and are supposed to be returning -- we've been able to confirm we will be receiving four victims at this time.

WOODRUFF: And what do you know about the extent of their injuries or whether there are more or how serious they are?

MCCALL: All we know is that they're doing triage at the scene. We have the burn -- the state's burn center, so we're assuming that we're getting burn victims with more extensive injuries.

WOODRUFF: And do you have any sense of the number of people involved?

MCCALL: We have heard varying numbers and we've only been able to confirm the four but, we're preparing for more.

WOODRUFF: All right.

Karen McCall, spokesperson for the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center at the University of North Carolina, thanks very much.
