LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: All right, now, it's movie time, and we're taking a look at handful of new releases that are now out in theaters near you.
Russ Leatherman, known as "Mr. Moviefone," joins us from L.A. with a preview.

Russ, how is it going?

RUSS LEATHERMAN, "MR. MOVIEFONE": Going good. What's going on, Leon?

HARRIS: All right, let's jump right into it.

"The Recruit", what did you think about this one? This is the one with Al Pacino.

LEATHERMAN: Well, I kind of liked "The Recruit." We've had a very dry month. January wasn't the best for movies, and this is probably the first pretty decent movie that's out there. It's Al Pacino, he's a great actor; he's maybe made some bad choices.

But this is a pretty good movie. Colin Farrell is going to be a big star. He play as recruiter who's trying to recruit Colin Farrell into the CIA, and taking him to this training camp called "the farm." And this is one of those movies that takes pride in pulling the rug out from under you, and really, nothing is as what it seems, as they'll tell you 14 or 15 times during the movie. But it's pretty good. There's good action, good suspense. It's one of the better movies we've had in a while.

HARRIS: OK, so that's thumbs up on that one.

How about "Final Destination?"

LEATHERMAN: No, that's those other guys, that thumbs up thing.

HARRIS: Oh sorry, had a flashback there. My bad.

LEATHERMAN: "Final Destination," you know what, this movie makes the most creative use of TV, (UNINTELLIGIBLE) and other killing devices I've ever seen. It's the sequel to "Final Destination."

HARRIS: As if that movie needed a sequel.

LEATHERMAN: You know what, here's the deal, it's a pretty good horror flick. The nice thing about this movie is it doesn't pull any punches. I mean, you see some of the most grisly deaths you've ever seen in your life. And you know, it's good times at the movies, what else are you going to do? It plays on the theory that if you cheat death, death is going to come back and get you in a big, bad, heinous kind of way.

HARRIS: Especially if you are a teenager, yes, in a vehicle.

LEATHERMAN: Especially if you're a teenager.

So this movie is going to do pretty well. The teenagers are going to see it. It's not bad; it's a pretty good flick.

HARRIS: How about "Biker Boyz?" That looks like a teen flick, too.

LEATHERMAN: "Biker Boyz," I can see the studio pitch meeting now, let's see "The Fast and the Furious," we'll put them on motorcycles -- I got it "Biker Boyz!" This is one of those movies that is made specifically to make money. There's not much of a plot. It's really about a two-hour music video, and motorcycles raising back and forth, lots of neat footage, but not much of a movie. But you know what, a lot of people are going to go see it, because they're going to think, hey, it is "The Fast and the Furious" on wheels, but not quite as much of a movie, I don't think.

HARRIS: Oh, OK.
