CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: The weather remains lousy in many parts of the country and that can only mean one thing, well, it means more than one thing, but it does mean airline delays usually.
Travelocity's air traffic expert Rally Caparas is here with his "Eye on the Sky."

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Carol, you know people are going to get tired of looking at me, because every time I'm on television I have something bad to tell them.

COSTELLO: Bad news.

CAPARAS: And it's the same today, folks. If you are flying into the Northeast especially, the wind, some snow, there'll be some icing problems there. Here's how it's going to affect you.

If you're headed in to Boston, Newark, LaGuardia or Philadelphia International Airport, you can expect 30 to 45-minute arrival delays in the afternoon and evening hours. Strong gusting winds, light snow, de-icing, there may be a single runway operation, especially at LaGuardia, that will slow things down even longer than that. So keep your fingers crossed on that wind, hopefully it won't be as severe. Right now in Pittsburgh and Cincinnati, a little further west, we're starting to see some strong gusting winds and it'll move into that area.

D.C. Metros and all the way down to Miami and all those airports in between, Charlotte and Atlanta, really good flight conditions today, on-time schedules throughout so good news there.

Up in the Great Lakes region, Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati-Covington airports, expect 30-minute arrival and departure delays as a result of, once again, snow, de-icing and that wind I was talking about just a moment ago.

Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, good news, I was contacted by Kathy O'Striker (ph), their PR rep. out of their office at the airport there, despite the runway and taxiway construction, no more delays.

COSTELLO: All right.

CAPARAS: So, we're going to drop them from the list. You won't hear any more until something else happens at Phoenix Sky Harbor.

And then on the West Coast, Los Angeles International and San Francisco, Chad showed you the map, lots of rain. That means 30 to 45-minute arrival delays throughout today, likely into tomorrow.

I'll be back on the phones with you from home comfortably near the fireplace, Carol, with more from Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky."

COSTELLO: Good idea. Thank you, Rally.
