CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: U.N. inspectors today searched an industrial complex in Baghdad.
Our Rym Brahimi is in the Iraqi capital and joins us with that.

Rym -- what did they find?

RYM BRAHIMI, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Well, we still don't know what they found, or if they found anything, Carol.

What we do know is that they went, as you said, to a military industrial complex. This is part of many buildings actually that belong to the Military Industrialization Commission of Iraq. Now, that one was actually believed to be -- the one they went to today is actually in the center of Baghdad, and it was believed to have contributed to the building of certain guidance systems for missiles, namely the al-Husayn missile, which was a long-range SCUD missile, until 1991.

Now, what they may have found now is something that we're going to hopefully hear about later if they found anything at all.

The other site they visited, Carol, today is a distillery on the outskirts of Baghdad, so a place where basically they're making alcoholic drinks. And as you know, alcohol has or could probably be used to make chemical weapons, but it's again one of those dual-use items that could be used for civilian purposes as well.

Now, at the same time there, Carol, as these inspections have been carried out, there have been quite a few patrols and raids in the southern no-fly zones here. In particular yesterday, the Iraqi state- run news agency cites four people being killed in one of those raids and 27 wounded. We understand from the U.S. Central Command that this was -- the bombing was actually in response to what they said were hostile acts in the north of Iraq.

Now, we understand from the Southern Oil Company here in the south of Iraq, where the patrols were being carried out and the raid, that three of the employees of the Southern Oil Company were among the dead -- Carol.

COSTELLO: All, Rym Brahimi, thanks.
