CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Well you may be headed out to the airport right now, but before you catch your cab, hold on a minute because we want to check in right now with Travelocity's air traffic expert Rally Caparas who always has his "Eye on the Sky."
And it's very cold in parts of the nation and that could mean delays, right - Rally?

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Well, Carol, yes, it could mean delays. But fortunately, here's something that's new for us, the entire eastern half of the United States looks like it's going to be pretty good. However, at LaGuardia's International Airport, we're still seeing some strong gusting northwest winds and that could force a single runway operation. That would mean 30 to 45-minute arrival delays later in the afternoon and evening. But I would bet that we will see the entire East, the eastern half, from Mississippi all the way to the east basically, under delay-free conditions and delay-free schedules all day long. So keep your fingers crossed, LaGuardia, that could -- that could keep the record on the East nice and clean.

Dallas-Fort Worth down in Texas, the western half is going to see most of the stuff, and Chad will tell you about the weather. Dallas will be delay-free early. However, in the afternoon and evenings, you can expect low clouds, rain and poor airport surface visibility to force 30 to 45-minute arrival delays.

Phoenix and Las Vegas, you're looking at 30-minute arrival delays. Low clouds, rain and possible thunderstorm activity later on that could reduce the available flight routes in to and out of those two airports.

San Francisco International will see another day of long delays. That's 45 to 60-minute arrival delays. Low clouds, rain, fog all day.

And then Los Angeles International, they're a little bit more efficient under the less-than-perfect weather conditions, 15 to 30- minute arrival delays and they will also suffer low clouds, rain and poor surface visibility.

Carol, that wraps it up for this morning. I'll be back in the studios with the latest from Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky."

COSTELLO: OK, we look forward to it. Rally Caparas, many thanks to you.
