LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: As we mentioned at the top of this show, President Bush is going to be out rallying the troops, so to speak, when he addresses U.S. sailors in Florida.
Our White House correspondent, Suzanne Malveaux, is traveling with the president, and she joins us now from Naval Station Mayport just outside of Jacksonville.

Good morning -- Suzanne.

SUZANNE MALVEAUX, CNN WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENT: Good morning, Leon, from a windy Jacksonville, Florida here. This is very significant, both in symbolism as well as meaning for the president. It has the third largest fleet concentration in the United States here, home to some 34 ships, also including the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy.

The president is going to be speaking with sailors here. He is going to be talking about their sense of pride, of their accomplishment.

Now, this is very significant. Some of these sailors have returned from the Persian Gulf -- some may be deployed to the Gulf -- recently. This is all a part of the White House saying that they are going to make the case to the American people that if war is necessary, the president will explain that to the sailors. He realizes the kind of sacrifice that they are going to have to make.

Also, part of this trip as well, not only focusing on the military as well as Iraq, but of course, the economic stimulus package. The president really saying this is about diplomacy abroad, as well as jobs at home. The president is going to be meeting with a group of small business employees. He is going to talk about his economic stimulus package, as well as the tax cut, talking about some of the things that businesses are going to be able to write off.

The administration focusing on both aspects of this, realizing that they're really fighting a war on two fronts, to deal with this economy at home and also this potential war abroad -- Leon.

HARRIS: All right, good deal. We'll let you go to go finish working on your tan out there. Have a good time way out there on the pier. Suzanne Malveaux, we'll get back to you later on.
