CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Every 15 minutes, we're bringing you the latest on this storm.
Now, we do hope our Jason Carroll is all bundled up. At last check, boy, did he look cold, didn't he Chad? Look at him. Jason Carroll, you're in New York on Columbus Circle, and you look frozen.

JASON CARROLL, CNN CORRESPONDENT: I feel frozen, Carol, because it's -- I mean, look at it out here. I mean, it is freezing out here and very windy in fact at this point. New York City under a blizzard warning. That is because of high winds, wind gusts up to 35 miles an hour, or possibly even more.

White-out conditions expected here as well. You can see what we're talking about just when you look out at the roadway there of what they're talking about, at least near white-out conditions.

Not many people out on the roadways, even for a holiday, just simply because a lot of New Yorkers are taking the advice of what people have been saying, which is if you don't have to be out, don't go out, stay home.

We're at Columbus Circle. It's an area right near Central Park. So far, about half of a foot has fallen in New York City. We're expecting anywhere between a foot to a foot-and-a-half to fall before all is said and done.

You can take a look around. You can see that there are some snow plows out here, snow blowers as well.

This is really unusual to be in the city and to be able to walk along Columbus Circle, which is an area that is usually jammed with cars, even on a holiday, and just to be able to walk as I am just out here without any problems.

But there are a number of problems out at the city's airports. New York airports, such as La Guardia, JFK, Newark in New Jersey, all experiencing massive amounts of delays, so if you're planning to do any travels or if you're expecting anyone to come in, you should definitely check with your carrier.

We're going to be out here all day long bringing you updates.

Carol -- back to you.

COSTELLO: Yes, Jason, we just got an e-mail addressed to you from Buzz (ph), who is stuck at JFK. He wants you to catch one of those snow plows, so they can go pick him up.

Jason Carroll reporting live...

CARROLL: (UNINTELLIGIBLE) such a bad way to go.

COSTELLO: Oh, you got that right. Jason, many thanks to you. We'll get back to you.
