LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: Joining us now, Rally Caparas, our travel expert from Travelocity. He's got the latest on all of the travel delays that are caused by this massive storm -- Rally.
RALLY CAPARAS, TRAVELOCITY: Well, Leon, as we talked earlier, it's not going to get any better. It looks like most of the airports in the Northeast are all collaborating to just basically shut down. We're looking at airport closures at basically Baltimore, Reagan, but let's get to the graphics so that people can actually see what's happening here.

Boston's Logan airport, runway and airport closures this afternoon and evening are likely, heaving snow and de-icing. I'd bet that most of their flights will be canceled this evening, and they'll be in a shutdown mode.

LaGuardia is closed until noon is what they're posting, but I have a feeling they're going to end up closing for the rest of the day and probably into tomorrow.

Philadelphia International, they're closed until at least noon, but there again, we're looking at closure, if I'm going to bet on it, I'll say at least until 6:00 or 7:00 tonight, if not through the rest of the day and evening.

Baltimore-Washington and Reagan. Reagan National, as you just stated, is closed until 7:00 a.m., and I think Baltimore-Washington could see a possibility of doing something similar to that. But there will be some clearing down around the Washington, D.C. area late this evening, and we could see some planes get in and out of there.

Washington Dulles, they have two runways, so they clean one and then they let a few airplanes take off and land, and then it gets covered up. But it looks the snow has stopped there for the most part, so we may see some better traffic situations at Washington Dulles as we move along through the day.

But overall, you can basically forget about getting into the major airports. If your airplane is not already in the sky headed towards Boston and New York, you're going to be sitting on the ground likely until tomorrow morning.

Leon -- back to you.

HARRIS: Hey, Rally, now this may be a tough one, but any idea how many people may actually be stuck at airports because of all of this?

CAPARAS: Well, Leon, the best I can tell you is I see on my computer right now 2,100 flights have been canceled into those major metropolitan areas. We're talking most of those airports are probably looking like hotels instead of airport terminals today. I hear there are pillows and blankets that have been passed out by the airlines.

People need to keep in mind, it may be up in the northeast where all the weather is, but even if you're flying from Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Seattle, Tacoma, you're going to experience some of these major delays, and we could see some people pulling out the sleeping bags in those terminals also.

HARRIS: Boy oh boy, this is going to be a mess. Folks, find a way to enjoy the holiday somehow, someway at the airport.

Thanks, Rally -- Rally Caparas at Travelocity.

CAPARAS: Sure.

HARRIS: Always right on time with all of that information.
