CHAD MYERS, CNN METEORLOGIST: Our Rally Caparas has been watching all of this down from South Carolina.
Rally, what kind of vacation is this?

RALLY CAPARAS, TRAVELOCITY: Not much of a vacation. I've been here since about 4:00 talking to you guys. And I'll tell you what, I don't feel as bad for myself as I do for those of you that are trying to fly all through the Northeast.

People are waiting in airports all over the country trying to get there. Forget about it. Just forget about it. There aren't going to be many airplanes moving. If you're not in the sky already, you can pretty much forget about getting into Boston. Boston's about to go into a snow removal situation over the next hour or so. Only those airplanes in the sky right now are going to be able to land over the next few hours, so expect lengthy delays into Logan.

New York City Metros, La Guardia just shut down. They're going to be closed for at least an hour. That's if they can keep up with the snowfall. Not likely. JFK, two to three hour delays into Newark.

Over 1,800 flights already canceled today, folks. That's the kind of delay that you're going to see most of the time.

Philadelphia, closed until noon. That's optimistic.

Baltimore and Reagan national, both closed. Reagan not opening until 4:00, as Patty Davis told you. That's optimistic.

Washington Dulles, the only airport in that region that's open, 60-minute arrival delays. Forget it. It's going to be more like three and four hour delays if your flight didn't get canceled.

Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati-Covington, 45 to 60 minute arrival and departure delays, snow, departure flight de-icing. A much better situation there.

Everything west of the Mississippi, pretty good conditions unless you're headed into those airports.

Paula, I'll be back in a little while with more and the latest from Travelocity eye on the sky.

ZAHN: It looks like you're going to be marooned for a little while, too, aren't you?

CAPARAS: I'll be OK. I'm driving out of here to Atlanta today, so I've got another plan.

ZAHN: Yes, your actual plans were changed by the storm as well, kind of got stuck there on a holiday. Thank you, Rally. See you in the next half-hour.
