CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: If you're watching us in the airport or you're heading to an air taxi, we have the man in the know with us right now, Travelocity's air traffic expert Rally Caparas.
OK, you've got your "Eye on the Sky," what's up?

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Well what's up is airplanes. There are plenty of airplanes getting ready to hit the skies today, Carol, and it's going to be an excellent situation on the East Coast.

COSTELLO: Really?

CAPARAS: The weather is going to cooperate finally. Most of the snow has been removed off of the major airport surface areas. So here's what's going to break down for you, folks, still expect delays, however.

From Boston to Miami, excellent flight conditions all day long, mostly on-time schedules, but there will still be delays to certain itineraries. Don't be surprised if you're asked to give up a seat, regardless of where you're flying from or to today, so that they can get some people that have been sleeping in the terminals on these airplanes. You may get a good little break out of it or a perk out of it, let's put it that way.

But if you do make it into the skies, here's where the delays are going to be for the volume and the weather.

Cincinnati-Covington, you'll see 30-minute arrival delays due to some low clouds, fog, possible freezing rain later on but it won't be a major event as Chad was talking about earlier.

St. Louis Lambert, 30 to 45-minute arrival delays are likely early because of fog and reduced surface visibility.

Out west, San Francisco International will see 30 to 45-minute arrival delays starting in the p.m. hours as some clouds and rain drop down from the great northwest out there off the Pacific Ocean.

Overall, though, an excellent day for flying if you can make it on your airplane. Good luck, folks, I know you deserve it.

I'll be back throughout the show with more from Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky" -- Carol.

COSTELLO: They do deserve it. CAPARAS: I know they do.

COSTELLO: Rally Caparas, many thanks to you.

CAPARAS: Sure.
