CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: If you're heading to the airport this morning, things have settled down, thank goodness. But just to make sure, Travelocity's air traffic expert Rally Caparas has his eye on the sky.
He joins us by phone this morning.

Tell us, Rally.

RALLY CAPARAS, TRAVELOCITY: Good morning, Carol.

Well, as you would expect, there are a lot of people that think that today should be Friday or Saturday. The week has just been such a long one for them. But today up in Boston, all the way down to the D.C. metros and all those major airports in between, they should see good flight conditions and on time schedules throughout the day.

Now, that doesn't mean that you won't be asked to give up your seat for a free trip or something like that to let one of these people that have been waiting all week. There will be a lot of people that have been stranded still getting on airplanes today. So be patient with them. They are probably going to be a little cranky, maybe carrying a little bit of extra stuff with them, and, you know, they deserve the opportunity to get on that airplane finally.

Cincinnati and Covington, a little further west, 45 minute arrival delays are likely, low clouds, freezing fog, improving later this morning.

Dallas/Fort Worth will see delay free conditions to start. However, 30 minute arrival delays and departure delays, for that matter, will kick in during the afternoon and evening. Rain, fog, thunderstorm activity is going to be a problem. And that will bother Houston's George Bush, where there'll see 30 to 45 minute arrival and departure delays as a result of those same weather conditions.

Phoenix Sky Harbor, they'll see 30 minute arrival delays, low clouds, rain and some p.m. thunderstorm activity block flight routes there also. But outside of that, the rest of the country should see pretty good conditions on time schedules.

I will talk to you tomorrow morning, Carol, with more from Travelocity's eye on the sky -- back to you in the studios.

COSTELLO: And we look forward to it.

Rally Caparas, thanks very much. TO ORDER A VIDEO OF THIS TRANSCRIPT, PLEASE CALL 800-CNN-NEWS OR USE OUR SECURE ONLINE ORDER FORM LOCATED AT www.fdch.com
