CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Let the de-icing begin. Time to talk airline delays so let's check in with Travelocity's air traffic expert Rally Caparas who always has his "Eye on the Sky" for us.
Good morning -- Rally.

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Carol, good morning. You're starting to sound like an expert yourself with the de-icing thing.

I'll tell you, the people in the Northeast or those headed into the busy Northeast today will be happy to hear that they'll -- they're going to get a second day of excellent flight conditions. From Boston all the way down to Philly, they'll see good conditions and on-time flight schedules, basically, for the entire day. So good news up there for a change.

The D.C. Metros, they'll start the same way, delay free early but expect 30-minute arrival and departure delays in the p.m. hours as some light snow and de-icing move into the area. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope that moves out before tomorrow morning. They're expecting that there will be snow there tomorrow also.

Atlanta Hartsfield, delay-free start there through about noon and then 30 to 45-minute arrival delays will kick in right around noon and last for the rest of the afternoon and evening. We'll see low clouds, some rain and some poor visibility move into the area at that time.

Memphis Airport, they're under the clouds right now, 30 to 45- minute arrival and departure delays to begin the day. There's snow, de-icing, poor visibility, but we should see some improvement there by about midday.

Houston's George Bush, they're seeing 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays to start the day. Rain, fog, a pop up thunderstorm or two will be the problem, but we will see improved conditions there by midday.

And then finally out west, Los Angeles International, Las Vegas and Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport all will be stuck with low clouds, rain, poor surface visibility and accompanying 30 to 45-minute arrival delays throughout the entire day.

I'll be back in the next half hour with the latest from Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky." Carol, back to you in the studios.

COSTELLO: We'll be waiting for it. Thank you, Rally Caparas. TO ORDER A VIDEO OF THIS TRANSCRIPT, PLEASE CALL 800-CNN-NEWS OR USE OUR SECURE ONLINE ORDER FORM LOCATED AT www.fdch.com
