CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Well it's downright frigid over much of the country, could there be de-icing delays?
The man in the know, Travelocity's air traffic expert with us now, Rally Caparas, who always has his "Eye on the Sky."

Good morning -- Rally.

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Good morning again, Carol.

Well the East Coast looks like it's going to see a pretty decent day. Most of the airports, all the way from the north to the south are going to be delay free throughout. However, the D.C. Metropolitan area, despite delay-free conditions early, will start to see 30-minute arrival and departure delays during the late p.m. hours. Light snow and the de-icing you were talking about will kick in during the evening hours there. Keep your fingers crossed, hopefully it'll be gone by the morning hours tomorrow. But it looks like we'll have snow forecast for that area to start the day on -- I'm sorry, on Wednesday.

Atlanta Hartsfield, same conditions, delay free to start, but later on in the afternoon and evening we'll see 30 to 45-minute arrival delays in the p.m. Low clouds, rain, poor surface visibility move in and we could even see some icing hit this area in Atlanta.

And then finally out west, Las Vegas, Los Angeles International and Phoenix Sky Harbor airports, all of which aren't very accustomed to dealing with the rain. They'll see rain and fog all day long and with that, 30 to 45-minute delays.

I'll be back in the studios with you tomorrow morning, Carol. Have a great day.

COSTELLO: You too. Many thanks, Rally.
