HIEDI COLLINS, CNN ANCHOR: Supporters of the Bush administration's stance on Iraq gathered in Nashville, Tennessee, Friday for what they called a freedom rally.
Dorinda Carter (ph) from affiliate WKRN reports.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I believe in freedom.

DORINDA CARTER, WKRN, NASHVILLE (voice-over): In the sea of American flags, they say they're not prowar...

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: None of us want to see war.

CARTER: ... but pro-America.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I support our troops.

CARTER: Thousands packed Centennial Park for a rally called Let Freedom Ring, a show of support of the president and his call for war against Iraq.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What we have is, we have a cavity, basically, in the tooth, and it's getting worse, and it's getting worse. And if we don't take care of this, it's going to rot out completely.

CARTER: From war veterans to entertainers...

UNIDENTIFIED MALE (singing): Have you forgotten...

CARTER: ... the crowd wanted to show there is growing support for a war.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It's a very sad thing to even think about war. Every day I pray that there'll be a solution to this and that maybe Saddam will suddenly decide that he's going to disarm, and this can be over with without any more bloodshed. But I don't see that happening.

CARTER: Members of the Kurdish community talked about their lives under Saddam Hussein's brutality.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Killing, torturing...

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: If Saddam had the power of Hitler, he would have messed up the whole world.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The Kurdish community here in Nashville and the Kurds, you know, for general, we support, you know, President Bush, you know, his policy against Iraq.

CARTER: And the faces in the crowd say they believe the United States has no choice but to attack Iraq, and they have no choice but to support the president.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: If we don't take a strong stand on that, we're going to lose it ourselves one day.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE (singing): ... I'd have to say that's right. Have you forgotten how it felt that day to see your homeland under fire?

(END VIDEOTAPE)

COLLINS: Again, that was Dorinda Carter from CNN affiliate WKRN.
