CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Well if you're heading out the door to catch a flight to somewhere, don't go anywhere until you hear from our "Eye on the Sky," Travelocity's air traffic expert Rally Caparas. He's on the line right now.
Good morning -- Rally.

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Good morning, Carol.

Well, the bad news is that we're going to see a high frequency of thunderstorm activity, even some snow, some rain, inclement conditions all throughout the eastern half of the United States. The good news, however, is that they're not going to have much influence on today's air travel. Let's talk about that.

If you're headed into the New York City Metropolitan area or Philadelphia today, you'll see a delay-free start; but later this afternoon, 30 to 45-minute arrival delays will ensue. Rain, wind, there could be some snow showers in that area also. But then late p.m., late evening, you'll see some clearing and better conditions. So it gets bad and then it gets better. So we've got good news as far as that's concerned.

Detroit, Cleveland and Pittsburgh in the Great Lakes region, they'll see early 30-minute arrival delays. Low clouds, snow, the rain, poor visibility, but it will improve by the early p.m. So have some patience and it'll be gone soon.

Houston's George Bush, they'll see 30-minute arrival delays. Low clouds, fog, some visibility problems, but that'll be gone later this morning in the Central Time Zone.

And then in the Pacific Northwest, Sea-Tac, Seattle-Tacoma, they'll see 30-minute arrival delays. Low clouds, rain and fog all- day and evening long.

And San Francisco International will suffer 30-minute arrival delays for just about the entire day as low clouds, fog, poor visibility will cause those delays there.

I'll be back in a half hour with the latest from Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky." Carol, back to you in the studio.

COSTELLO: OK, can't wait. Many thanks to you, Rally.
