HOLLY FIRFER, CNN ANCHOR: OK, let's check in with Travelocity's air traffic expert, Rally Caparas, who has his "Eye on the Sky" as always.
RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAVEL SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Yes. Yes.

FIRFER: And tell us where are the planes flying, are they on time, what have we got?

CAPARAS: Well, Holly, it looks like we're going to have excellent conditions in the Northeast, except at one airport, get ready, folks. New York's LaGuardia Airport, you will once again see some delays related to wind and runway configuration. Strong northwest winds will force a runway configuration that's not favorable for the demand on the airport typically, on a Friday, a very busy Friday. It's going to mean 30 to 45-minute arrival delays throughout most of the day.

The rest of the Northeast, even though the wind is going to be gusting, it should be OK.

Down in Atlanta, here in Atlanta, we've got some overcast skies right now. But later on this afternoon, we will see some rain, some low clouds and thunderstorm activity that will block routes into and out of the major airport here. That will equate to 30 to 45-minute arrival delays this afternoon and evening.

Miami, Orlando and Tampa-St. Pete, they will see similar conditions. Thunderstorm activity, set your clock by those thunderstorms, folks, right around 4:00 or 5:00 they start popping up and delays 30 to 45-minutes into those airports throughout most of the evening.

Houston's George Bush, they will once again -- they've got zero visibility right now, can't see down the runway, that means 30 to 45- minute arrival delays for most of the morning. And it's going to last into the afternoon and evening, much like it did yesterday, if you're in Houston.

San Francisco, the only real airport, or the only airport with any real concerns today, but it'll be significant. Forty-five to 60- minute arrival delays, low clouds, fog, some rain, but it's mostly the strong southeast winds, runway configuration doesn't work. Hour-long delays most of the day out there.

I'll be back in a half hour -- Holly. FIRFER: You got it. So if you're traveling, grab an extra cup of coffee.

CAPARAS: And make a friend.

FIRFER: OK. Thanks, Rally. We'll see you in a bit.

CAPARAS: Sure.
