HOLLY FIRFER, CNN ANCHOR: Vote or no vote. President Bush mulls his next move on Iraq.
And we've put a "Wake-Up Call" in to our senior White House correspondent, John King, this morning. He's on the phone from Washington.

Good morning -- John.

JOHN KING, CNN SENIOR WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENT: Good morning -- happy Friday.

FIRFER: Happy Friday to you.

We hear there may be sort of some kind of a summit this weekend. What can you tell us?

KING: Well, we knew the White House was considering this, and now there is word from Tony Blair's government that he indeed may travel this weekend as well. The exact whereabouts still to be determined. There was some talk yesterday of outside London; others said perhaps in Spain.

The conversations are, since it appears this new resolution is doomed, the president and his top two allies in Europe -- the British prime minister and the Spanish prime minister, Jose Maria Aznar -- the idea was maybe they should get together to plot the next move. Obviously a very difficult political situation for all three leaders if they go forward into military confrontation without the backing of the United Nations, but of course from day one, President Bush has said he's prepared to do that.

FIRFER: OK, John, thanks. A very busy day for you upcoming -- we appreciate it.
