CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: It is nasty outside in many places across the country, so let's check in with Travelocity's air traffic expert Rally Caparas who has his "Eye on the Sky." Give us the bad news.
RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Good morning, Carol.

Well it's kind of difficult to see the sky this morning down here in the southeast. All we're seeing is clouds right now. If you look out the window in the southeast, it's nasty. I'll get to that in just a moment.

If you're headed into or out of airports at Boston and the New York City Metropolitan area today, the good news is you'll be delay free all day long. On-time flight schedules all day and evening. Good news, for a change, for you folks on a Friday getaway day for most of you.

Philadelphia and the D.C. Metros, they're delay free for most of the day also. Then late in the afternoon and early evening, you'll start to see 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays and that'll be the result of low clouds, rain and then thunderstorm activity that's going to move up into that area later on this evening. So be prepared for that.

Atlanta and Charlotte, here's where the bad news is. Atlanta and Charlotte, you'll see 45 to 60-minute arrival and departure delays sporadically off and on all day long, low clouds, rain, thunderstorm activity. We've heard it roll through here this morning already. It'll be blocking routes into and out of those two major airports though. Grab a cup of coffee, make a friend in the terminal if you have the extra time to wait.

Cincinnati-Covington, the same situation, delay free early, but 45 to 60-minute arrival and departure delays in the afternoon and evening hours, low clouds, rain, strong winds. The wind affects that parallel runway configuration at Cincinnati. Thunderstorms will also be limiting flight routes into and out of that airport.

St. Louis and Memphis, they're not so bad off, 30 to 45-minute arrival delays, low clouds, rain, strong wind and en route thunderstorms. That means that the storms may not be at the airports proper, but outside of the airspace there it will slow things down for traffic into and out of that airport -- those two airports.

And then finally, Houston's George Bush, no severe weather for them this morning, it'll just be some low clouds and some dense fog. It'll add 30 to 45-minute arrival time delays onto your flight time if you're headed to Houston this morning. But that should be gone by 10:00 a.m. Central Time for on time schedules thereafter.

The rest of the country to the west looks pretty good. Just a little bit of rain out in San Fran, no major delays out there.

That wraps it up for me this week. I'll be back on Monday morning bright and early with the latest from Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky." Carol, back to you in the studio.

COSTELLO: OK, we sure appreciate it, Rally Caparas.
