CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Well if you're headed for the airport this morning, don't leave just yet because we have our "Eye on the Sky" here. Travelocity's air traffic expert Rally Caparas is going to bring us up to date on flight delays.
RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Yes, ma'am, I will. What a fantastic weekend we had, huh?

COSTELLO: It was perfect.

CAPARAS: Nearly the entire -- the entire country had excellent flight conditions, on-time schedules everywhere, light volume, as is typical on the weekends. It was beautiful, fantastic.

COSTELLO: But this morning?

CAPARAS: But this morning, we're going to continue to start the day for most folks, most of you will see those same conditions. It's going to end towards the end of the week. So get ready for the next weekend, it's not going to be good news.

But here we go for today. Boston to Orlando, excellent flight conditions and on-time flight schedules. As Chad told you earlier, it's going to be all day and evening long. Now it stops at Orlando because down in Miami and Fort Lauderdale today, you will see 30- minute arrival and departure delays. It'll be sporadic. Thunderstorm activity will limit flight routes. You may not see rain at the airports, but around the airspace you'll see some blockage of flight routes, hence, you'll have some delays.

In the Great Lakes region, Detroit and Cleveland, they'll stay delay free for most of the day. And then late this evening, right around 7:00, 8:00, you'll start to see thunderstorm activity, some low clouds and some wind move into the area. That will likely cause you 30-minute arrival and departure delays there.

St. Louis Lambert Airport, they won't have much rain or weather at the airport today, but to the north and to the west of them, some thunderstorm activity is going to move through the area. The FAA is going to implement the Severe Weather Avoidance Program. That means they'll have to steer you around that stuff and that means 30 to 45- minute arrival and departure delays.

And then finally out on the West Coast, San Francisco, they have some rain moving in. After about 10:00 p.m., I'm sorry, 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time, you can expect 30 to 45-minute arrival delays. They're closing one runway, I think it starts today, runway one right. So that'll slow the volume down there. We could see delays later on grow at San Fran.

COSTELLO: OK, well thanks for the warning.

CAPARAS: Sure.

COSTELLO: Rally Caparas, we'll check back with you tomorrow.

CAPARAS: See you then.
