CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: If you're heading to the airport right now, hold on, it's time to check in with Travelocity's air traffic expert Rally Caparas. He has his "Eye on the Sky," and here's here with us now.
RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Good morning -- Carol.

COSTELLO: Good morning.

CAPARAS: Good morning, folks. Well today it looks like the East is going to squeeze yet another day of excellent conditions for air flight. It's been a few days now since they've seen any problems with their schedules. But today from Boston all the way down to Atlanta, you'll see delay-free conditions early and it should stay all day long. Good flight conditions, on-time schedules, no worries there.

However, down in the state of Florida that'll be a little bit different story. You can expect a delay-free start, but it's going to change soon. Thirty to 45-minute arrival and departure delays this afternoon and evening, scattered thunderstorm activity will reduce the available flight routes into and out of those major airports.

Up in Chicago today, they're going to get, and they're starting to get it already, the rain is rolling in. Chad told you there's some severe weather that's kind of lingering to the west of Chicago. Well, it's going to make its way into that region very soon and that means 45 to 60-minute arrival and departure delays. Those thunderstorms are going to cause problems there.

Detroit, we've got Detroit up on the board, delay-free start, then 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays later on this afternoon and evening.

In St. Louis, Lambert Airport today, you can expect 30 to 45- minute arrival and departure delays there also, en route thunderstorms. May not see the weather at the airport proper, but it will be around the area. Severe Weather Avoidance Program will get kicked in and that means they'll vector you around that stuff. Extra time in the skies or on the airport surface until something passes in your direction of departure.

And then finally out in Denver, not happening right now, but things are setting up just the same way they did yesterday, some dense fog is likely. It'll cause 30 to 45-arrival delays. Should be gone by about 10:00 a.m. in the Mountain Time Zone.

The rest of the West looks fantastic.

Carol, I'll be talking to you by phone tomorrow morning with the latest from Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky."

COSTELLO: From the comfort of your own home and your home computer.

CAPARAS: In front of the fireplace. Well, it's 90 degrees yesterday, so I don't think so.

COSTELLO: In front of the air conditioner.

CAPARAS: There you go, blowing on me.

COSTELLO: Thank you -- Rally.

CAPARAS: Sure.
