ARTHEL NEVILLE, CNN ANCHOR: A Florida couple believes their missing daughter may have been found six years after her disappearance.
Warren Elly, or excuse me, Warren Elly of CNN affiliate WTVT reports.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

WARREN ELLY, WTVT-TV REPORTER (voice-over): On the left, Paloma, a child abandoned in Texas five months after Sabrina Aisenberg vanished from Valrico. A missing kid's Web site says Paloma was approximately 2 years old in her picture. Sabrina was 5 months old in hers. Some who have looked at these pictures see resemblances.

Police and legal sources say Paloma was left at a McAllen, Texas migrant clinic in May 1998. A nurse there took her to Pontiac, Illinois, where her sister was anxious to adopt a baby. The courts there wouldn't allow adoption without a birth certificate, but allowed the woman to keep the baby and ordered Paloma's picture posted on the Internet.

And then last month, another woman surfing the Net in Byron Center, Michigan thought Paloma looked like Sabrina. She called Steve and Marlene Aisenberg, and now the Aisenbergs' lawyers are asking Illinois authorities for DNA tests.

TODD FOSTER, AISENBERGS' ATTORNEY: It's so early we don't know what the odds or what the percentages are that this baby could be Sabrina. Who could say is it 1 percent, is it a tenth of a percent, is it more? But whatever it is, it needs to be looked at and we're doing all we can to make sure it gets pursued.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

NEVILLE: Now attorneys have asked police to order DNA tests on the little girl to see if she is the Aisenbergs' missing daughter. A news conference has been scheduled by the Pontiac police for later today.
