CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Well it is an important travel weekend. If you're flying off for the big family reunion, hold on, Travelocity's air traffic expert Rally Caparas is here. Tell us.
RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Well, good news. Really, really good news, no real severe weather to talk about. Bad news is, if you tuned in yesterday, I told you airline and airport schedules are designed based on perfect conditions at the airports. We're going to have a lot more volume today. There's going to be some less-than-perfect conditions; hence, we're going to have some delays. Here we go, folks.

LaGuardia and Newark's Liberty Airport, you will see 45 to 60- minute arrival delays, low clouds, rain, wind, poor visibility. It's going to last throughout the day, starting mostly later on this morning into the evening hours.

Philadelphia, 30 to 45-minute arrival delays, some rain, some fog, low visibility. Obscured visibility is caused by these conditions. You could also see some gusting winds, less-than- favorable runway configurations, that type of thing. The increased volume is the real reason there.

Detroit -- I'm sorry, the D.C. Metros and Charlotte, 30-minute arrival delays, low clouds, rain, fog. It's going to stick around with you all day.

Atlanta Hartsfield, we're going to see 30 to 45-minute arrival delays early because of low clouds and fog, but it's going to burn away. It's going to clear up. We're looking for on-time schedules this afternoon and evening. Great news for a change, we haven't seen the sun in days.

Orlando, Miami and Fort Lauderdale, South Florida primarily, scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays as a result.

And then the Great Lakes region, Detroit, Cleveland and Pittsburgh, you'll be delay free for most of the day. Then later on, right around the peak rush time, 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays. Low clouds, rain, poor visibility basically.

The rest of the country, you're in store for a great holiday weekend for travel.

I'll be back in the next hour, Carol, with the latest from Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky."

COSTELLO: OK, we look forward to it. Thank you, Rally.
