CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Well the rain has stopped in the northeast, just in time for you to go back to work. If you have to fly for your job today, will planes at least be on time?
Travelocity's air traffic expert Rally Caparas live on the phone.

Good morning -- Rally.

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Good morning, Carol. You know I bet you Chad had to look up directions on how to get to work this morning. It's been so long since we've seen him.

Anyway, yes, you're exactly right, in the northeast it looks like conditions are going to be favorable for on-time schedules for most of the day. Philadelphia and the D.C. Metros, however, there could be some 30-minute arrival delays this morning because of low clouds and some fog. Temperature and dew point real close to one another. And then later on this afternoon and evening, we could see some rain. It's expected to pick back up around Washington and Philadelphia and maybe an isolated thunderstorm or two. Thirty-minute arrival delays are nothing to whine about, that's for sure.

Miami and Fort Lauderdale, delay-free starts there. And then the afternoon and evening, thunderstorm activity will kick up later this -- during the p.m. hours that is. Thirty to 45-minute arrival and departure delays are likely there as flight routes become limited into and out of those major airports.

Houston's George Bush Airport, they're looking at -- they're getting ready to see some clouds and some fog in that area. There are some clouds already, but the fog is going to build over the next couple of hours. Thirty to 45-minute arrival delays as a result. And then later on this afternoon and evening, localized, isolated thunderstorm activity is possible, and that means 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays in the late p.m. hours.

And then Denver, they're delay free, and they'll stay that way for most of the day. Then there is a chance of some possible -- I'm sorry, some thunderstorm activity later on. Thirty to 45-minute arrival and departure delays as a result.

But overall, an excellent day for air travel and moving about according to schedule on what is expected to be a very busy back-to- work Tuesday.

Carol, I'll be back in the morning with the latest from Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky." Back to you in the studio.

COSTELLO: All right, we appreciate it as always. Rally Caparas live on the line with us this morning.
