CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Are you flying somewhere for the weekend? Well, Rally Caparas is here to tell us about flight delays or not.
RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Or not. Well in the northeast, we're not; but it looks like it's going to be a tough day for a lot of you out there, folks. We may not have the graphics for these, so bear with me, I'll be reading from paper, but we'll check it out. I'll learn as you do.

Today in the northeast, you're going to see excellent flight conditions, on-time schedules all day long. Enjoy it while it lasts, folks, it's not going to stay that way. Tomorrow late, you'll see a change; but Friday, the busy getaway day, excellent conditions for you all.

Now when it gets down into the southeast that will change. Later on this morning, we'll see Atlanta Hartsfield go from delay free to 45-minute arrival and departure delays. Low clouds, rain and thunderstorms are going to move into the area limiting flight routes. Those delays will keep going all the way into the late evening hours and we'll see similar conditions tomorrow.

Down in the state of Florida, Tampa, Orlando, Miami and Fort Lauderdale airports, delay free early. But there again, afternoon/evening thunderstorm activity, 30 to 5 -- 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays, seasonal thunderstorm activity. Same old story, right, you see it every single day.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, St. Louis and Memphis airports, they're going to see 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays starting any minute now. It's going to stay that way throughout the entire day. Low clouds, thunderstorm activity will block routes sporadically. You'll see some scattered thunderstorm activity throughout the central United States.

Speaking of which, Chicago O'Hare and Midway, they won't get the thunderstorms early. But it's moving gradually to the east and that means 45 to 60-minute arrival and departure delays as we get closer to the evening rush as those clouds and thunderstorms block routes into and out of that major airport or that major city.

Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston, opposite scenario, early 30 to 45- minute arrival and departure delays, p.m. clearing, on-time schedules this evening. Excellent conditions during the peak period, during the evening rush, good news for you there. And then finally on the West Coast, San Francisco, just a little bit of fog. Marine layer fog rolls in. Should be gone by about noon Pacific Time for on-time schedules thereafter.

The rest of the west, fantastic.

Carol, have a great weekend.

COSTELLO: And I'm glad your graphics were in.

CAPARAS: Me too. They're amazing. I don't know how they did it.

COSTELLO: It's our graphics people, they're fast.

CAPARAS: Yes, they are.

COSTELLO: Thank you, Rally, appreciate it.

CAPARAS: Sure.
