CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: England's most famous high school student is moving on. Prince Harry takes his final exam at Eton today.
CNN's Diana Muriel joins us live from London with the story. Prince Harry, 18 years old, how time does fly.

DIANA MURIEL, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Indeed, it's five years since he arrived at Eton as a very shy and quiet 13-year-old, brought to the school by his father alone, of course, because his mother had so tragically died the year before. But today Harry took his final examination, his advanced level in art, which he's just completed.

We've just received the pictures of him leaving the examination hall after completing that three-hour exam. He said goodbye to some of his friends within the examination hall and walked out with a friend on his way back to his house to say goodbye to his housemaster, Dr. Andrew Gailey. And Dr. Andrew Gailey has been very closely involved in helping the Royal Family to bring up Prince Harry these past five years. They're understood to have an extremely close relationship.

Harry is said to have enjoyed his time at Eton immensely. He may not have excelled academically, but he certainly excelled on the sports field. He's known to be an extremely good sportsman, particularly in the fields of rugby, where he captained the school B team. He also played in the Eton Wall Game, the very famous Eton Wall Game, and also was a cricketer and a keen polo player. He's known to be an extremely good sportsman.

The way that he -- when he left the examination hall today, you can see probably in these pictures that he is not wearing the formal white tie and tails, which the students at Eton are required to wear as part of their uniform. You can in fact dress casually for his last day at the school. But the school is an extremely elite school, 20 miles south of London near Windsor where he followed his brother to complete his academic qualifications -- Carol.

COSTELLO: OK, Diana, and you're going to join us in the next hour with some dirt, because you know Americans always like dirt on the Royal Family, and we have heard that Harry is quite the party boy, so maybe you can address that for us in the next hour. Many thanks, Diana Muriel, live from London this morning.
