HEIDI COLLINS, CNN ANCHOR: For now, though, we do want to move on to another topic. He was on the run for five months but this morning the fugitive heir to the Max Factor fortune is in a Mexican jail as authorities make plans to bring him back to the U.S.
CNN's Charles Feldman is joining us now live from Los Angeles with the very latest on the arrest of Andrew Luster, hello to you Charles.

CHARLES FELDMAN, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Hello again, Heidi.

You know and as Martha Stewart might say what faces Andrew Luster is not a good thing. He faces 124 years, the rest of his life, behind bars. Right now he is behind bars in Mexico where a bounty hunter from Hawaii by the name of Duane "Dog" Chapman caught up with him yesterday. Mexican officials did too.

Luster is now in jail, so is Chapman, that's him, because the Mexican government does not look kindly upon bounty hunters. Now, legal authorities in Mexico are trying to sort things out. The bounty hunter may face charges in Mexico for his taking part in the apprehension of Andrew Luster.

Andrew Luster himself, well, they expect him back in the U.S. We don't know when and law enforcement officials are being secretive about what happens once Luster is returned to the U.S.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SHERIFF BOB BROOKS, VENTURA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA: We will be taking custody of Mr. Luster when he's returned to the United States by federal authorities. We will not have anything to say about the logistics of the arrangements of transportation or housing for security reasons. I'm just grateful that justice is being served. I'm thankful that there is some closure for the victims involved.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

FELDMAN: Now, of course, Luster is convicted, has been convicted on charges of drugging and raping three women. He drugged them with date rape drugs and then videotaped having sex with them and he, of course, is the great-grandson of Max Factor. That's the guy who back in the 1920s was king of makeup, in fact makes most of the TV makeup that we all wear - Heidi.

COLLINS: Charles, just wondering what the sense is. If this bounty hunter hadn't have been used in this case how quickly do we think authorities would have gotten to him?

FELDMAN: Well, that's a very good question. You know the FBI claims that they got tipped of last week by a couple, a tourist couple in Mexico and they were hot on the trail of Andrew Luster but, says the FBI, well the bounty hunter got there first.

I think the bounty hunter story is somewhat different and when they had a news conference yesterday the FBI was sort of congratulating itself for the apprehension but we'll see if that's really in order.

COLLINS: Interesting, Charles Feldman live from Los Angeles thank so much Charles.

FELDMAN: You're welcome.

COLLINS: And you can learn more details of Andrew Luster's arrest and background information on the case against him. It's on our website. Just go ahead and log onto cnn.com, AOL keyword is CNN.
