CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: If you're just about to call a cab to head to the airport this morning, wait just a second, time to find out if it will be clear skies for you. Our "Eye on the Sky," Travelocity's air traffic expert Rally Caparas live on the phone right now.
Good morning -- Rally.

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Good morning, Carol.

Yes, it looks like it's going to be just another beautiful day, especially for those of us in the east, except for maybe down in Florida. But from Boston all the way down to Orlando in Central Florida, you're going to see very good conditions and on-time flight schedules for the second day. And tomorrow looks like it could be a repeat.

Down in South Florida, they'll see more of what they see just about every day this time of the year, pretty good conditions to start out, mostly delay free. And then right around the evening rush period between about 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. Eastern, 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays are likely as seasonal thunderstorm activity kicks up and block flight routes into and out of those airports.

Chicago O'Hare in the Great Lakes region, they'll see pretty good conditions just about the entire day. But later on, 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays are likely, much like they were yesterday. For departures headed westbound out of Chicago or arrivals inbound from the west to Chicago, en route thunderstorms limiting flight routes in that direction will be the problem there. But eastbound traffic and Chicago itself should have pretty good conditions and on-time schedules.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, you'll see 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays there, low clouds, rain. The surface visibility could be poor at times, but scattered thunderstorms will be blocking routes into and out of that airport for just about the entire day.

And then finally down in Texas, Houston's George Bush, they'll be delay free for most of the day. And then right around the evening rush, 4:00 to about 8:00 p.m. Central Time, 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays are likely as pop-up thunderstorm from the daytime heating start to limit routes there.

The western half of the United States looks beautiful once again. Not a bad day, probably one of the best ones so far this year, Carol, for air travel. I'll be back tomorrow morning with the latest from Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky." Back to you.

COSTELLO: All right, many thanks, Rally Caparas.
