KRIS OSBORN, CNN ANCHOR: Time now to check with our "Eye on the Sky," Travelocity's air traffic expert Rally Caparas. He joins us now on the phone with early word on travel delays.
Good morning to you, Rally. Thunderstorms causing problems?

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Good morning, Kris. You got it right, buddy, yesterday we saw two and three, four-hour delays at Chicago and New York, Philadelphia. Hopefully we won't see a duplication of yesterday.

Today though, Philadelphia and D.C., you will see 30 to 45-minute departure delays. There's some en route weather to the west, going through Cleveland, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh as we speak, and those routes are going to be blocked. So expect 30 to 45-minute departure delays, and those thunderstorms should fade before they make it to the mid-Atlantic coast.

Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati-Covington this morning, 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays, low clouds, thunderstorms. These delays will fade in the middle part of the day and then they'll return in the late afternoon and evening as low clouds, rain and thunderstorms rekick or refire is what I should say.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, you can -- you'll -- you can expect to see 45-minute arrival and departure delays throughout the day. Low clouds, rain, thunderstorms, limited flight routes into and out of that airport. And like I said, it will be an all day affair there.

Chicago O'Hare and Midway, delay free at this very moment. However, 60 to 90-minute arrival and departure delays are likely once again. The low clouds, the rain, the strong wind and thunderstorms at or near the airport will be problems there and that should begin sometime this morning.

Houston's George Bush, Dallas-Fort Worth and St. Louis Lambert airports, they're delay free early, but the afternoon and evening will bring some rain, some clouds and thunderstorm activity to the tune of 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays.

And then on the West Coast, as usual, San Francisco International will see low clouds, marine layer fog. It'll roll in. It'll be gone by about noon Pacific Time. Should see on-time schedules thereafter, but expect 45-minute arrival delays until then.

The rest of the west looks perfect. I'll be back in a half hour -- well, I won't be back with you all, but I'll be back tomorrow morning with Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky." Kris, back to you.

OSBORN: Thank you very much, Rally Caparas. Very important words for would-be travelers today.
