KRIS OSBORN, CNN ANCHOR: Well it is time now to check on business. Spike Lee does the right thing for Viacom.
Carrie Lee is at the Nasdaq market site with more on this.

Hello -- Carrie.

CARRIE LEE, CNN FINANCIAL NEWS CORRESPONDENT: Hi, Kris.

Basically Spike Lee and Viacom have settled their name dispute, paving the way for Viacom to change the name of its TNN cable network to Spike TV. Now we don't have too many details. We're expecting an official announcement of the settlement today. But remember the filmmaker wanted to stop the name change claiming it was a deliberate attempt to hijack his name, image and reputation. Spike Lee's real name, by the way, is Shelton Jackson Lee.

Viacom has lost millions of dollars since a court issued a temporary injunction in mid-June basically preventing this name change. That injunction has since been lifted so now Viacom can go ahead immediately with the rebranding of its name to -- from TNN to Spike TV.

By the way, Kris, this is the first television network designed exclusively for men. So we'll see how it succeeds going forward. Back to you.

OSBORN: Thank you very much, Carrie.
