FREDRICKA WHITFIELD, CNN ANCHOR: Well let's get a check on the business now. Want to pick the brains of Warren Buffett while you pick at your salad?
Well Carrie Lee is at the Nasdaq market site to give us some instructions on how we can do that -- Carrie.

CARRIE LEE, CNN FINANCIAL NEWS CORRESPONDENT: That's right, Fredricka, Warren Buffett, known as the Oracle of Omaha, is auctioning a lunch with himself on eBay. Now this lunch is going to take place in New York City next May. He's expected to talk about everything from things that have affected his life to his investments, according to auction organizers.

Buffett, by the way, is the second richest man in the world behind Bill Gates and perhaps the world's best-known investor. So a lot of people pay attention to what he has to say. He's certainly made a lot of people rich over the years.

And this auction, I have to say, is not going to come cheap. At our latest check on eBay, the winning bid or the highest bid so far stood at $78,100. Now the winning bidder can bring seven friends, so they will be able to split it up. The bidding ends at midnight tonight Eastern Time.

But one share of Berkshire Hathaway, by the way, at our latest check stood at $72,500. So a lot of interest in this bidding process, once again, to have lunch with Warren Buffet so far.

Quick check on the futures this morning, we're looking for a little bit of a pullback after a mixed session yesterday. Tech stocks look particularly weak. Last night we heard from Yahoo! and Genentech reporting profits for the recent quarter. This morning we'll hear from PepsiCo and Abbott Labs. We'll also get weekly jobless claims, new faces on the unemployment line for last week, and chain store sales are going to report their sales at stores open at least one year, Fredricka, so a lot happening today on Wall Street.

Back to you.

WHITFIELD: All right, a lot indeed. Thanks a lot, Carrie.
