FREDRICKA WHITFIELD, CNN ANCHOR: Our senior international editor, David Clinch, is back with us now this hour to give us a better idea of all of the international stories we're covering...
DAVID CLINCH, CNN SENIOR INTERNATIONAL EDITOR: Yes.

WHITFIELD: ... of course, the two American soldiers who were killed...

CLINCH: Absolutely, Fredricka. Iraq is still very much top of our agenda today. We're hearing now two U.S. soldiers killed in the last 24 hours, seven injured the day before. These attacks are never ending.

President Bush, we're just hearing -- I was just listening to him speaking in Botswana today, being asked about this, and describing what's going on in Iraq as -- quote -- "a security issue that needs to be dealt with." We'll hear more from him later on today.

And then obviously we're still following -- you know, Defense Secretary Rumsfeld was quoted yesterday or said yesterday that the cost of keeping the U.S. troops there is now running at about $3.9 billion a month. So, we're covering today both aspects of the security issue and the cost issue of staying in Iraq.

And then I said I'd come back and talk about those two other stories today, one in Tehran, the bodies of the two Iranian sisters who died in Singapore following the operation to separate them, which they had basically demanded the doctors carry through despite the risks. They tragically both died. Their bodies arrived back in Iran today. There will be memorial service in Tehran, and then they'll be flown to and buried in the small village that they come from in rural Iran. So, we'll continue to get pictures on that story today.

And then I promised you I'd come back and tell you a little bit more this. I was reading in the Irish newspapers this morning that President Clinton, former President Clinton, who is in Ireland at the moment on private business obviously, has apparently bought a luxury apartment there in Ireland on a beautiful golf course called the K Club in Ireland.

WHITFIELD: Wow!

CLINCH: And I don't know if we have pictures. We found a Web site of the ad for the -- this is the actual golf club itself. But we found the Web site for the Altrudia (ph) apartment, or the apartment that he has bought. He paid $1.25 million apparently for this without actually having seen it. That's what the newspaper report says. He was told about it by a friend, an Irish friend, decided he loves playing golf in Ireland, which he does repeatedly every year. He's decided he'll buy a home there. So, $1.25 million for a two-bedroom apartment on a golf course in Ireland now.

WHITFIELD: Well, thanks for those virtual tours.

CLINCH: Absolutely.

WHITFIELD: You know, you can buy real estate like that...

CLINCH: Absolutely. I'm looking at them myself...

WHITFIELD: ... and feel pretty confident about it.

CLINCH: ... seeing if there's something more in my bracket.

WHITFIELD: Well, if you get a book advance, like the Clintons have gotten separately...

CLINCH: Yes.

WHITFIELD: ... then you know you, too, could buy something sight unseen.

CLINCH: Absolutely. I don't know if Hillary has contributed there. This is President Clinton buying this himself.

WHITFIELD: Yes, I understand. All right, thanks a lot, David.

CLINCH: OK.
