DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: As we said, the nominations are just pouring in right now. Another very pleased woman is joining us on the phone, Cynthia Nixon.
LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: OK.

KAGAN: "Sex and the City." You were mentioning HBO. What was the number you said? Over 100 nominations.

HARRIS: One hundred and three -- I think it was 109.

CYNTHIA NIXON, "SEX AND THE CITY": One hundred and nine.

HARRIS: One hundred and nine.

KAGAN: One hundred and nine.

NIXON: One hundred and nine.

HARRIS: Yes.

KAGAN: We have our expert, Cynthia Nixon, joining us.

HARRIS: And she's one of them. Congratulations.

NIXON: Thank you so much.

KAGAN: This must have been quite a thrill for you.

NIXON: Yes, it really, really was. We had a short season last year, so we didn't know if we might be overlooked. But, you know, it was certainly a very happy phone call I got this morning.

KAGAN: Plus, they made a big change in your character, Miranda, in turning her into a mom.

NIXON: Yes.

KAGAN: And, you know, some people might go with that, some might not, but I think it's been an excellent turn for Miranda.

NIXON: Thank you. I think so, too. It's certainly not anything that we could have imagined, you know, one of the characters having a baby when we started out the show six years ago.

KAGAN: It wasn't part of the story pitch.

NIXON: No, certainly not. Certainly not.

KAGAN: So, 109 nominations for HBO...

NIXON: Yes.

KAGAN: ... which is also, of course, owned by AOL.

NIXON: And 13 for "Sex and the City"...

KAGAN: Total.

NIXON: ... the most that we've ever gotten, yes.

KAGAN: Sarah Jessica Parker also getting a nomination.

NIXON: Yes.

KAGAN: And who else can you tell us about on the show?

NIXON: Kim Cattrall got nominated. The show got nominated. Cindy Chupack and Michael Patrick King, two of our writers, got nominated. Michael Angler (ph) got nominated, our hair and makeup department, Pat Field (ph) who does our clothes, Jennifer McNamara (ph) who does our casting, Jeremy (ph), who does our sets -- you know, a lot of stuff.

KAGAN: So, this means that you and Kim Cattrall will be up against each other for best supporting actress?

NIXON: Yes, yes.

KAGAN: How does that work?

NIXON: Well, we're used to it.

KAGAN: Yes.

NIXON: You know, we're used to it, you know. I mean, we're all such fans of our own show. I hope that's not crazy to say, but, you know, I mean, we just feel like a nomination for anyone on the show is a nomination for all of us.

KAGAN: Excellent. Well, congratulations on that to not just you, but to everybody on the show and to "Sex and the City."

NIXON: Thank you.

KAGAN: We enjoy it.

NIXON: Thank you.

KAGAN: Thank you, Cynthia.

NIXON: All right.

KAGAN: You enjoy. TO ORDER A VIDEO OF THIS TRANSCRIPT, PLEASE CALL 800-CNN-NEWS OR USE OUR SECURE ONLINE ORDER FORM LOCATED AT www.fdch.com.
