CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Are you dying to get out of town today? Do you have a scheduled flight? Will it be delayed? We have the answer to that question.
Rally Caparas is here. He always has his "Eye on the Sky."

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Hi -- Carol.

COSTELLO: Good morning.

CAPARAS: Good morning.

Well, a lot of folks last night, they really got beat up at Chicago. Had a -- had a whole bunch of weather break out there, and it turned into two, three-hour delays for you folks. Now the weather that affected that region has moved slightly to the east. Here is what is going to happen for you today.

New York, Philly and Washington, D.C., very good starts to the day; but later on this afternoon and evening, expect 45 to 60-minute arrival and departure delays. There will be low clouds, some rain and then the thunderstorm activity will create that bottleneck effect where airplanes just can't get out of the region in time. So expect lengthy delays in the northeast later on.

Atlanta and Charlotte, they're delay free for most of the day; but they will likely see 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays as en route thunderstorm activity kicks up in the south, as it usually does for this time of the year, blocking routes, making things slow there.

Tampa, Orlando and Miami, delay free at the moment. But as usual for this time of the year, the convective heating, seasonal thunderstorm activity kicks up around 4:00 or 5:00 p.m. You can expect 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays as a result.

Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati, that frontal boundary is running right through all of those cities today. You can expect 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays all day long off and on. Low clouds, rain and thunderstorm activity are the reasons there.

St. Louis Lambert, you see the significant weather moving in on that area. You can expect 45-minute arrival and departure delays there. Low clouds, rain, thunderstorm activity, could be significant weather, as Chad told you earlier. And then on the -- in the west, Las Vegas and Phoenix Sky Harbor, I know they need some rain out there with the fires. There will be 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays during the p.m. hours. The remnants of Claudette are harassing the area. The rest of the west looks pretty good.

I'll be back on Monday morning with the latest from Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky" -- Carol.

COSTELLO: OK, we look forward to it. Thank you -- Rally.

CAPARAS: Thank you.
